Terms of Use

The terms for using the Clear from Control website and for booking a place on our CPD courses.

Last updated: October 2026 · ReNurture Ltd · Company No. 17057216

Clear from Control and ReNurture are trade marks of ReNurture Ltd (trade mark pending).

1. Who we are

This website, clearfromcontrol.com, is run by ReNurture Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17057216). Our registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, and we operate from Devon, United Kingdom. Clear from Control is the continuing professional development (CPD) brand of ReNurture Ltd, and every course and resource on this site is provided by ReNurture Ltd. You can contact us at support@renurture.org.

"We", "us" and "our" mean ReNurture Ltd. "You" means the person using the website or booking a course, and, where an organisation books seats for its staff, the organisation as well. Section 6 (CPD booking terms) applies in addition to the rest of these terms when you reserve a seat, register your interest in a course, or book on behalf of an organisation.

2. Using this website

By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not continue to use the site. The site and our courses are written for qualified practitioners and the organisations that employ or commission them, and they are designed for use in the UK. You must be 18 or over to book a course. If you use the site from outside the UK, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with any local laws that apply to you.

Please use the website lawfully. You must not try to interfere with it, break its security, probe or scan it, submit false or misleading information through our forms, send spam or automated submissions, or misuse the practitioner sign-in or the screening tool. We may suspend or withdraw access to any part of the site, including practitioner accounts, if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken.

If we give you a practitioner account, it is for you alone. Keep your sign-in details secure, do not share them, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. You can ask us to close your account at any time by writing to support@renurture.org. When an account is closed, access to members' materials ends, but any right you have to a course you have paid for is not affected.

3. Not therapy and not crisis support

Clear from Control is professional training. Nothing on this website or in our course materials is therapy, clinical supervision, or medical, psychological or legal advice for any individual, and nothing here is crisis or emergency support. Practitioners remain responsible for their own clinical judgement, scope of practice and safeguarding duties. If you are in immediate danger, call 999 in the UK. Our Usage Disclaimer says more about how the materials and the screening tool may be used.

4. Intellectual property and trade marks

All content, design and functionality of this website, and all course materials, including slides, handouts, worksheets, session recordings, the screening tool and any digital or web tool we provide, are the intellectual property of ReNurture Ltd or its licensors and are protected by copyright. All intellectual property rights are reserved. You may not reproduce, distribute or repurpose any of this content without our prior written permission.

Clear from Control and ReNurture, and the associated logos, are trade marks of ReNurture Ltd (trade mark pending). You may not use them, or anything confusingly similar, without our written permission.

You may view and print pages from this website for your own professional reference. Unless we say otherwise, you must not:

  • republish material from this website or from our courses;
  • sell, rent or sub-license material from this website or from our courses;
  • reproduce, duplicate or copy material from this website or from our courses;
  • redistribute content from ReNurture Ltd, unless the content is specifically made for redistribution;
  • use software, devices or scripts to scrape this website or our materials;
  • upload our materials or recordings to any artificial intelligence tool or service, or use them to train or fine-tune one.

Where we provide printable handouts or worksheets as part of a course, you may print them for use in your own practice. You must not modify them, remove our branding, or share them on social media or file-sharing platforms.

Attending a course does not make you a certified, accredited or licensed practitioner of the CARE framework, Narrative Regulation Therapy or any other Clear from Control method, and you must not describe yourself in that way. You may say, truthfully, that you have trained with Clear from Control, as set out in section 5. Attending a course does not give you the right to deliver our training to others.

You accept that damages alone would not be an adequate remedy for a breach of this section, and that we may seek an injunction or other fair remedy to protect our rights.

5. Linking to our content

You are welcome to link to our home page or to our public pages, as long as the link is fair and lawful, is not misleading, and does not suggest that we sponsor, endorse or approve you or your services when we do not. You may say, truthfully, that you or your staff have trained with Clear from Control. Please do not use our logo or other artwork without our written permission, and please do not frame our pages or present them as part of another site. We may ask you to remove a link at any time. If you would like to discuss linking, write to support@renurture.org.

Our website and course materials may link to third-party websites, helplines and services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or availability. If you find a link that is wrong or unsuitable, please tell us and we will look at it.

6. CPD booking terms

6.1 Reserving a seat

Where a course page offers "Hold my seat", submitting the form reserves a place for you on the next cohort of that course. There is no payment until dates are confirmed. When we confirm the dates, we will email you with the dates, the price, any early-bird discount you qualify for, and how to pay. We hold your reserved seat for 7 days from the date of that email. Your seat is confirmed once payment has been received. If we have not received payment within the 7 days, we may release the seat to someone else. If you no longer want the seat when dates are confirmed, you can simply tell us and we will release it; nothing is owed for a seat that has been reserved but not paid for.

6.2 Registering interest

Where a course is marked "EOI · dates TBC" (Expression of Interest), or offers "Register my interest", submitting the form does not reserve a seat or create a contract. It tells us you would like to hear when dates open, and we will email you about cohort dates and early-bird pricing for that course. You can unsubscribe at any time.

6.3 Cohort size

Each cohort is capped at 24 participants so that live case discussion is possible. Reserved seats are held as set out in section 6.1. Any remaining seats, and any reserved seats that are released, are allocated in the order in which payment is received. If a cohort is full when you try to reserve or pay for a seat, we will tell you and offer the next available cohort.

6.4 Delivery and recordings

Courses are delivered live and remotely, over video. You are responsible for your own device, software and internet connection.

Live sessions are recorded. If you take part, your name, voice, image and anything you type in the chat may appear in the recording, which is shared only with participants in your cohort. You may keep your camera off, and you can ask us before a session about other ways to take part. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle recordings.

Session recordings are made available for 6 months after each session, for your personal study only. If a recording fails or is unusable for a technical reason, we will tell you and offer a place on the same session in a later cohort where one is running. Recordings and materials are licensed to you personally and are non-transferable: you must not share, download for redistribution, copy, record, screen-capture, publish or sell them, or use them to train others, and you must not share your sign-in details.

6.5 CPD certificate

A CPD certificate is issued on completion of the course. Completion means attending at least 80% of the live teaching time. If you miss part of a session, you can make up the time by watching the recording within its 6-month availability and telling us you have done so. The certificate confirms attendance and the number of CPD hours. It is for you to check with your own professional body whether the course counts towards its CPD requirements. We will reissue a lost certificate on request.

6.6 Early-bird pricing

Where a course page says that early-bird pricing applies, people who have reserved a seat or registered their interest before dates are confirmed are offered up to 25% off when dates open. The early-bird price and the date by which you must pay to receive it will be stated in the email that confirms the dates. We may withdraw or change early-bird pricing for future cohorts at any time; this does not affect a price we have already confirmed to you.

6.7 Price and payment

The price of a course is the price we confirm to you in writing when the dates open. Prices are shown in pounds sterling, and the price we confirm is the total you pay. ReNurture Ltd is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added. Individuals pay online by debit or credit card through our payment provider; we do not see or store your card details. Organisations may pay by card or by invoice, as set out in section 6.9. We will email you a booking confirmation and a copy of these terms when your seat is confirmed.

If we discover an error in a price we have quoted, we will make all reasonable efforts to put it right: if the correct price is lower, we will charge the lower amount; if it is higher, we will contact you for instructions before taking payment. If a pricing error is obvious and unmistakable, and you could reasonably have recognised it as a mistake, we may cancel the booking and refund anything you have paid.

6.8 Changes we may make

We may change dates, the trainer, the online platform, or the running order of a course where we reasonably need to. If we change the dates of a cohort you have paid for, or cancel it, we will tell you by email as soon as we can and you may choose between a place on a later cohort and a full refund of what you have paid us. We may also update course content to reflect changes in evidence, law or practice.

6.9 Organisation and team bookings

Organisations can book seats for their staff by contacting us through the enquiry form ("Discuss my organisation's needs"). The following applies to those bookings in addition to the rest of this section.

  • Your contract with us. A quote, order form or invoice will set out the course, the number of seats and the price. A contract comes into existence when we confirm our acceptance in writing. If we cannot accept an order, we will tell you in writing and will not charge you, or will refund anything you have paid. If a quote or order form says something different from these terms, the quote or order form applies. Courses commissioned for delivery to your organisation alone are covered by the cancellation terms in their own order form.
  • Seats. One seat gives one named individual a place on one cohort. Seats are not shared between people. Seats count towards the cohort cap of 24. You may substitute a named attendee at no charge at any time before the course starts, by telling us in writing.
  • Payment. Where we agree to invoice you, payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date unless the invoice says otherwise. If you need a purchase order number on the invoice, give it to us when you order. Seats are confirmed once payment has been received. If you do not pay an amount when it is due and still have not paid within 30 days of a reminder, we may cancel the booking. We may charge interest on overdue amounts at the rate set under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
  • Use of the materials. The licence in section 4 applies to each attendee personally. Your organisation may not record sessions, copy course materials onto internal systems, or use them to train other staff, without our prior written agreement.
  • What we tell your organisation. We may confirm to the person who made the booking which named attendees attended and received a certificate. We will not share with your organisation anything else an individual attendee tells us, or anything they contribute in a session.
  • Personal data. You and we each act as an independent controller of the attendee details we exchange for a booking. You confirm that you are entitled to give us your attendees' names and work contact details.
  • Your responsibilities. You are responsible for telling your attendees about these terms, for keeping any access details we give you secure, and for your organisation's own supervision, safeguarding and risk-assessment arrangements. Providing CPD does not transfer any clinical or safeguarding responsibility from your organisation to us.
  • Confidentiality. We will treat the information you give us about your organisation as confidential and will use it only to provide the course and to manage your booking.

6.10 Cancellations and refunds

To cancel a paid seat, email support@renurture.org. What happens next depends on how long before the first session of your cohort we receive your email. The same terms apply to each seat in an organisation booking.

When we hear from youWhat you can choose
28 days or more before the first sessionA full refund, or a transfer to a later cohort
14 to 27 days before the first sessionA refund of 50% of the fee, or a transfer to a later cohort at no charge
Fewer than 14 days before, or after the course has startedNo refund and no transfer
  • Substitutions. At any time before the first session you may give your seat to a colleague at no charge. Tell us their name and email address in writing.
  • Transfers. You may transfer a booking once. A transferred booking cannot be refunded later, unless we cancel the cohort you transferred to.
  • If we resell your seat. Where you cancel in a period that gives a reduced refund or none, and we are able to fill your seat from a waiting list, we will refund your fee in full less a £25 administration fee.
  • Not attending. If you do not attend and have not cancelled, the fee is not refundable. You will still have access to the recordings for 6 months.
  • Exceptional circumstances. If serious illness, bereavement or a similar event prevents you from attending, tell us. We will look at each case fairly and will normally offer a transfer.
  • How refunds are paid. We make refunds to the payment method you used, within 14 days of agreeing the refund.

If we cancel a cohort, or move its dates and you cannot attend, you will be offered a place on a later cohort or a full refund, as set out in section 6.8.

If you book as an individual, you also have the 14-day right to change your mind in section 6.11, which applies whatever the table above says. None of the above affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer law.

6.11 Your 14-day right to change your mind

If you book as an individual, you may cancel for any reason within 14 days. The 14 days start on the day after we confirm your seat. To cancel, email support@renurture.org with a clear statement that you want to cancel, or send us the form in the Annex. You do not have to give a reason. We will refund everything you have paid within 14 days of hearing from you.

We will not begin a course during those 14 days unless you ask us to. If you book a cohort that starts within 14 days, we will ask you at booking to confirm that you want the course to begin in that period. If you then cancel within the 14 days after the course has started, we will refund the fee less a fair proportion for the sessions already delivered. Once the course has been delivered in full, the right to cancel under this section ends.

6.12 Taking part

Our courses rely on open discussion of difficult material, so we ask every participant to follow these rules.

  • Anonymise your cases. Remove names, places and any other detail that could identify a client, colleague or third party before you describe a case.
  • Keep the room confidential. Treat anything other participants share in a session as confidential, and do not repeat it outside the cohort.
  • Treat others with respect. Discriminatory, abusive or persistently disruptive behaviour is not acceptable.
  • Do not record. Only we may record a session.

If a participant seriously or repeatedly breaks these rules, we may remove them from the session or the course. No refund is due where we do so. If something said in a session suggests a serious risk of harm to a child or an adult at risk, we may act on it in line with our safeguarding duties.

6.13 Accessibility

We want every participant to be able to take part fully. If you need an adjustment, such as captions, materials in advance or in another format, or extra breaks, tell us when you book or as early as you can before the course. We will make reasonable adjustments wherever we can.

6.14 Feedback

We may ask for your feedback after a course. We use feedback to improve our training. We will not publish anything you say with your name, role or organisation attached unless you have given us permission, and you can withdraw that permission at any time.

7. Complaints

If you are unhappy with a course or with anything else we have done, please tell us so we can put it right. Email support@renurture.org with "Complaint" in the subject line and say what happened and what you would like us to do. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and send you a full response within 20 working days. If we need longer, we will tell you why and when you can expect to hear from us.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can ask for it to be reviewed by a director of ReNurture Ltd. If we still cannot resolve the complaint, we will tell you whether there is an alternative dispute resolution provider we are willing to use. Making a complaint does not affect your right to bring a claim in court.

8. Our responsibility to you

We will provide our courses with reasonable care and skill. We work hard to keep the information on this website accurate, but we do not promise that it is complete, accurate or up to date, or that the website will always be available. The website and its free content are provided for general information. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude all representations, warranties and conditions relating to the website and its free content, and we will not be liable for any loss or damage of any nature arising from them, other than as set out below. This paragraph does not apply to courses you have paid for.

Our courses are educational. They are not a substitute for clinical supervision, for your own professional judgement, or for your organisation's duty of care. We are not liable for clinical decisions made by practitioners who have attended our courses or used our materials, or for any outcome arising from those decisions. Subject to the paragraph below, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data, and our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with a course, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, is limited to the fees you have paid to us for that course.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our or your liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights if a service we supply is not provided with reasonable care and skill. The limitations in this section apply to liability in contract, in tort (including negligence) and for breach of statutory duty.

9. Events outside our control

We are not in breach of these terms, and are not liable, where we are delayed or prevented from running a course by something outside our reasonable control. Examples are the trainer's illness, a failure of the video platform or of internet services, a power failure, or a public emergency. If this happens we will tell you as soon as we can and rearrange the affected session. If the new date does not suit you, or we cannot rearrange within a reasonable time, you may choose a place on a later cohort or a refund for the sessions not delivered.

10. Privacy and cookies

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and our courses, how we use it, and the one cookie we set. Please read it alongside these terms.

11. If you live outside the UK

This section applies only if you live, or your organisation is based, outside the UK. It does not reduce the rights of consumers in the UK.

Governing law and courts. These terms are governed by English law, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless local consumer law gives you the right to use your own courts.

Warranty disclaimer. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE WEBSITE, THE COURSES AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of liability. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, AND OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE FEES YOU PAID US FOR THE COURSE THE CLAIM RELATES TO AND GBP 100.

Local law. Some jurisdictions (including some US states) do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you, and you may have additional rights under local law.

Not a healthcare provider. ReNurture Ltd is not a healthcare provider and does not provide HIPAA-covered services. Our courses are professional training, not medical or psychological advice, and no clinician-patient relationship is formed by attending. Dr Craig Newman is a UK (HCPC-registered) clinical psychologist and does not provide services as a licensed psychologist in any US state. Our course content, including its legal and safeguarding material, is specific to the UK.

Emergencies. In the United States, call 911, or call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), or contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline on 1-800-799-7233. Elsewhere, use your local emergency services.

12. Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by English law. If you live in England or Wales, you can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you can bring proceedings in either the Scottish or the English courts. If you live in Northern Ireland, you can bring proceedings in either the Northern Irish or the English courts. Section 11 applies instead if you live outside the UK. We do not require you to use arbitration or to give up any right to bring a claim.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or in how our courses run. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top. If you keep using the website after a change, we will take that as acceptance of the updated terms. For a course booking, the version that applies is the one shown here when your seat is confirmed, and we send you a copy with your booking confirmation. If we make a change that affects a confirmed booking in a significant way, we will tell you by email before it takes effect, and you can cancel and receive a refund of what you have paid if you do not want to continue.

14. Other important terms

This contract is between you and us, and no other person has any right to enforce any of its terms. Each of these terms works separately: if a court decides that any of them is unlawful, the others will continue in force. If we do not insist straight away that you do something you are required to do, or delay in taking steps against you, that does not mean you do not have to do it, and it does not stop us from taking steps later. These terms, together with any quote, order form or booking confirmation, are the whole agreement between you and us about the website and the courses. When we use the words "writing" or "written", this includes email.

15. Contact

If you have any questions about these terms, please contact us at support@renurture.org.
